HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting addresses paediatric first aid across a range of high-risk scenarios, including anaphylaxis, asthma, common injuries and resuscitation. This course has been endorsed by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) as meeting their requirements for anaphylaxis, asthma and first aid training in education and care settings. Training is delivered by qualified paramedics with real-world emergency experience.

Assessment requirements

Entry and prerequisite requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for HLTAID012. This course is open to all participants aged 14 years and over. It is particularly suited to those working in regulated education and care settings.
Certification
Participants who successfully complete HLTAID012 will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This certification meets ACECQA requirements for anaphylaxis, asthma and first aid training in education and care settings. Valid for 3 years, with CPR recommended for annual renewal.
